Car consignment

Want to sell your car through a dealer? You leave the car at our car lot and we handle the sale through to the end.

What is car consignment?

On consignment, Drivepoint sells your car to an end buyer, at the price and on the terms agreed together in the contract. You remain the owner until the sale.

How do we work together?

The owner

  • Provides the car and the documents needed.
  • Agrees the sale price with us.
  • Approves offers as set in the contract.

Drivepoint

  • Prepares the presentation and listings.
  • Answers buyers and arranges viewings.
  • Coordinates the paperwork and completes the sale.

How does it work?

  1. Valuation and offer

We review the car and agree the listing price together.

  2. Contract and handover

We agree the terms, sign the contract and take the car into our car lot.

  3. Listing and viewings

We take the photos, write the description, publish the listing and welcome buyers at our car lot.

  4. Offers

We present the offers we receive, and you approve them as set in the contract.

  5. Sale and payment

We complete the paperwork and payment as set in the contract.

How do we set the price?

Based on the valuation, we agree the listing price together.

How long does a consignment contract last?

We agree the length together before signing, and it is written into the contract.

How much does consignment cost?
