Some technical data is collected automatically, through the technologies described in the Cookie Policy. Public company data (name, registered office, registration number) may be retrieved from the ANAF register using the VAT number.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process data only for specific purposes, each with its own legal basis. We do not use consent as a general basis: we ask for it only where the law requires it (for example for analytics and marketing).

6. Data passed to lenders

If you apply for financing, we pass your contact details, the vehicle details and, at the lender's request, the documents you give us for this purpose to the financial institution you choose. The lender becomes an independent controller of the data it receives and processes it under its own policy, including for risk assessment and credit database checks. Drivepoint does not make the approval decision.

7. Vehicle documents

For buy-back, trade-in, consignment and sales we process the vehicle documents (registration certificate, CIV, service records) and the ID documents of owners or their representatives, only as far as needed to verify ownership, for the contract and for the transfer formalities. The documents are kept in our internal system, with access limited to the staff handling the transaction.

The chassis number (VIN) and technical data of vehicles in stock are published in the listings. They do not identify previous owners.

9. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area: Google (Analytics, only with consent) and Cloudflare, mainly in the US. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision, for certified providers, or on standard contractual clauses. The map on the contact page loads from OpenStreetMap (United Kingdom, a country with an adequacy decision), which receives the visitor's IP address.

  • the right to rectification
  • the right to erasure, as provided by law
  • the right to restriction of processing
  • the right to object, including to processing based on legitimate interest

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), CRM access only with personal accounts and role-based permissions, documents with financial data visible only to the administrator, protection of the forms against automated submissions, backups. No system is completely secure; if an incident affects your data, we inform you and notify the authority where the law requires.

12. Cookies

The technologies used on the website, their purpose and duration are described in the Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

13. Marketing

We may contact you by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail to answer your request. Messages needed for your request (replies, requested offers, appointments, documents) are not marketing.
